Compensation: $100,000 - $200,000 (USD). Two structures to choose from: base plus equity, or a lower base with an aggressive commission tied directly to the accounts you bring in. THE COMPANY An events and entertainment platform, around 50 people. The CEO founded Lime, the CTO was among the first 2,000 at Google and the first 20 at Pinterest. Backed by a16z. Lil Wayne features them in his IG bio, WWE just signed, conversations are live with MLB and the WNBA. The vision: let creators and personalities sell from their own account, take a cut, and own the customer data. THE ROLE This sits on the independent market side: local events, collectives, clubs, car shows, everything happening outside the big festival circuit. - Tap your existing network of organizers, venue operators, promoters and DJs to generate warm leads and close new accounts - Run demos, pitch, and negotiate commercial terms end to end: fee splits, guarantees, exclusivity - Turn every signed client into a referral source, deliberately expanding beyond your initial contacts - Outbound prospecting fills the gaps once the warm network is worked, but it is secondary - Stay hands on after close: support onboarding and show up at a client's first event WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are not looking for a resume here, we are looking for a rolodex. You should be able to name 10 to 20 people you would call on day one. - 2 to 6 years in business development, partnerships, customer success or account management at a ticketing, events or nightlife company - Or: you are personally embedded in nightlife and events. DJ, promoter, venue or bar manager, nightlife GM. The sales craft can be taught, the relationships cannot - Direct personal relationships with owners and decision makers, not friend of a friend connections - Proven ability to close on a call and negotiate commercial terms - Articulate and confident on the phone, no hesitation when pitching a stranger - Comfortable in a fast moving startup with minimal process NOT A FIT No real personal contacts in events or nightlife. A focus on large scale festivals rather than local events. LOCATION Fully remote, US. Optional monthly power week onsite with room and board covered. Occasional travel to client events encouraged. Visa transfers and new sponsorships open. PROCESS Three rounds: intro with the hiring manager, a team interview, then a short take home (a product page plus a list of 5 to 10 day one targets) presented in the final round.
